I don't think itll change much, just some more shade for the west/northwest stands in the later hours.

Roth Tower Renovation Expected to be Complete for '26 Season

Looks like the athletic department got BoT approval for Roth Tower expansion. We'll see what the final renderings look like but the current ones look decent. Guessing they'll start building after next season?

I'm on the fence about Johnny Dawkins and here's a few reasons why:

The two seasons Dawkins went over .500 in conference play was in his first 3 years. Since then we went .500 or worse in 4 straight seasons. Look at his Stanford days, he hovered around .500 at best. That's likely the ceiling for us under him.

    UCF to the NIT?

Dawkins has no idea how to get teams prepped for rivalry games. 2-4 in his last 6 versus USF and can't beat Cincy which is the closest rival we have in the B12. Only reason he shouldn't be let go is if we can't get a competitive offer out there for a decent or promising coach and want to wait...

Rut Roh: Big 12/ACC on board with new CFP format, per report (lank)

Besides the obvious way this duopoly is bad for college football, it probably doesn't bode well for the ACC/B12 in the long run. You know some of the programs outside of the obvious (FSU, Clemson) are not going to be willing to take that difference in payout. If the B10 and SEC take what...

UCF's inaugural campaign in the Big 12, thru Winter Season

Its about what I expected jumping up in competition and having legit road environments. Even if performance wasn't great, I don't think we see any coaching changes in any of the sports until the full B12 check starts rolling in and a trend is set (3ish years). Only thing that really worries me...

    #8 IOWA STATE @ UCF

The fact that it was as close as it was with those stats until the last 3 min is mind boggling. At least we can play defense.

    Congrats UCF Hockey

UCF hockey was one of the more underrated sports experiences as a student, I wish it was closer to campus so more students could go.

    Significant donation

Sounds like they want to have the new Roth Tower by the 2026 season, based on this video the athletics dept just put on youtube.

    Ted Roof

We really haven't played stout defense since GOL. 2017 we had the opportunistic bend don't break thing going but other than that its been regularly getting gashed for big yardage. Probably not a coincidence its been like that since we went to a spread offense, that mentality seems to carry over...

    Recruiting Update Thread

Based on how they socialized the heli visits, its pretty clear it was for the optics of showing up in VIP mode not for the practicality. All part of the recruiting flash tactics.

Until we consistently have more demand than space for more general seating I think Roth Tower needs expansion. The premium seating items are the money makers too.

Vols practice in UCF indoor facility

I gained a lot of respect for Heupel by going and speaking at Otis Anderson's funeral. He's clearly a good guy that is liked by his staff/players/peers but I can't explain why the recruiting under him was...off? Going to AZ for QBs, Germany for OL... Guy just needed to work local/regional...

Villanova is playing in the FCS playoff quarterfinals now

Less or no FBS programs in those states to compete against for recruits etc has to be a factor.

    UCF 4.5 favorites over GaTech.

I think the game is a toss up. Both teams seem to be able to play with anybody or lose to anybody depending on what mood they're in.

    Knights Football Uniforms

Pretty sure our own folks designed the current uniforms, or at least they insinuated it.

    UCF / TT GAMEDAY THREAD!

Harvey looked pretty beat up too which didn't help us. His production over the last two months caught up to him and we know he has a foot issue.

Can RJ Harvey play another year?

With the way the NFL views RBs you gotta go early. I'm honestly surprised someone like Etienne stayed at Clemson as long as he did. Harvey could be similar to Jerome Ford in Cleveland, same build and skills.

    Positives/negatives from the Chokelahoma game...

The biggest thing that stood out to me was not turning the ball over, I'll give the offense/JRP praise for that especially on the road. One turnover and it could have been a two score game. Glad to see the defense has some ability to force turnovers as well, last year we couldn't get anything.

Gus's New Deal (Devil in the detail$)

Yeah the UCF admin can hire whoever they want, but what desirable assistant would come/stay if they aren't going to have the responsibilities to match their title? You think Frost/Whipple/etc would come here if Gus is going to do their job for them? Id argue its also led to us not being able to...
