What are your first impressions of ESPN+?

we're pretty much in control of running breaks/slating, QA'ing just making sure nothing is going wrong with the feed, and cutting markers for the archive.... stupid but simple job lol

I wrote about why I think UCF was able to attack Tulane's "drop 8" defense compared to Tulsa's earlier in the season.

I admittedly know next to nothing when it comes to running haha,, I've learned a good bit on identifying run types,, but I think opposing defensive fronts play a huge part in UCF's run blocking success. They seem to have a rushing performance like this 2 or 3 times a year. Temple off the top of...

What are your first impressions of ESPN+?

Everything is school produced I'm pretty sure (I log events for ESPN +) so what that game looked like compared to what a UCF home game looked like from a production stand point are probably two completely different things, As someone who's watched a thousand of lower level D1 soccer/volleyball...

I wrote about why I think UCF was able to attack Tulane's "drop 8" defense compared to Tulsa's earlier in the season.

Ya, imo they were forcing UCF's WR's to the outside.. I believe UCF runs a load of option routes so if playing inside technique WR's supposed to run an out-breaking route.. but imo UCF needed to figure out a way to adjust to that and get control of the space back to make Tulsa adjust.. all kinda...

Tied 7-7, 4th and goal in the first quarter vs Memphis

A big detail about going for it here is starting field position. If you don't get it, Memphis is starting from their own 4. Compared to their own 25 (assuming touchback) or own 20 (missed FG). UCF kicked a FG and missed on a 4th and goal from 4 vs. Tulsa. Memphis went on a 56 yard drive...

    Thoughts if anyone is interested

IMO in pass pro, yes.. against the blitz was bad, only 6 plays tho (allowed 5 pressures) vs 3 or 4 man rush they only let up 3 pressures that were quicker than 2.91 seconds. 1 of them was due to a completely wrong protection slide. Run blocking, no but I think that was obvious.

    Thoughts if anyone is interested

ya, I think a lot of them winning was from coverage.. I chart snap to pressure/release times and for the most part, it wasn't a red flag. I think DG only got sacked once (might be wrong) but the Snap to pressure time was 3.777 which is an eternity. It just seemed like he only had 2 options on...

    Thoughts if anyone is interested

I made a really long thread and don't want to retype everything so I'm gonna link the thread ( you don't need twitter to read it ) IMO, Tulsa came in defensively with pretty much the same gameplan they had last year and UCF still didn't quite have an answer for it.

I charted the offensive formations, personnel, play-call, and success rate from GT game

haha that is a big reason im trying to keep up with it , great way to find wide receivers to play,, but a ton of work to chart 1,000+ passes every week,, if you message me (here or on twitter or wherever) I'll send you the the link to the google doc if you want it to look at it

I charted the offensive formations, personnel, play-call, and success rate from GT game

Epa's were pretty similar, "10" was 0.27 EPA/Play, "11" was 0.22 per play (int also a big -) "10" rushing was -.01 and passing was 0.43 "11" rushing was 0.18 and passing 0.32 Makes sense bc GT stated 6 in the box regardless of personnel and just went from 1 hi look to a 2 hi look when UCF went...

Someone asked a bit ago for numbers on DG's season, so here they are

so receivers that blocked on screen passes are labeled as DSB (downfield screen block),, none just means they didn't run a route on the play.. UCF had a lot of plays where only one half of the field ran routes.

Someone asked a bit ago for numbers on DG's season, so here they are

Don't really know if anyone is interested in this, but here's every route run by a UCF receiver last season (that you could see) Wanted to show route combos, but it has put my brain in a pretzel
