    Whenever we've done the best besides having a decent QB we've had an excellent WR group and excellent defensive back group. Glad to see we are going after more talent in these 2 areas to get excellence in both groups.

    We don't recruit over our limit of 85 recruits and not expect that some good ones come in and some good ones choose to walk away... No need to act like this... If it was such a big loss then this is what we would see on campus...

    Change of DCs and transfer portal... How good of a tackler was he? This is what our defense needs most. I'm not real happy about the DBs on our current 2025 recruit list that weigh 170. Lastly DBs are the highest quantity position recruited.

    First year in Big 12

    How long have we had the full BIG 12 budget in our hands? After 1 prior to being in Big 12 and 2 after being in BIG 12 rating is more reliable. Right now I would say a rating of promising is more exact.

    UCF Football: DT Ricky Barber looking for big final year

    D-line was a disappointment last season and I think part of it was adjusting the defensive line to covering run gaps as well as rushing passer. We'll see how new DC handles this and unfortunately with better competition in Big12 there are more injuries. Glad we have new strength coach.

    It's a new day with transfer portal. What were the positions of need that we needed going into 2024 after guys agreed to stay with us like RB and WR studs? Answer: QB, LBs and OL. These were taken care of in transfer portal. Just open positions for making the 2-deep (after in-season injuries)...

    The teams we couldn't beat are in the AAC are with us now in Big12 and we beat them this year.

    Good points. Also, you need a lot of pressure from the DL to make the other style work that we had this season. If your DL isn't getting the pressure your LBs are on their heels too much and the DBs have more time that they are required to cover WRs.
