    I'm on the fence about Johnny Dawkins and here's a few reasons why:

    Dawkins is a nice guy and a average coach. I'd rather have a nice guy who is a great coach. Dawkins will never get us to the big game for several reasons...the big reason is success breeds success and he has little. He has one season left to prove me wrong.

    And I thought 29 percent against Kansas St was a low point. Didn't think 15 percent was possible. And 4-21 3's. Incredible. Houston is obviously the better team but... I think Houston's guards were quicker and better ball handlers and of course better shots.

    The more I hear from other people more familiar with Texas and how they do the Horns up to rub it in the more I understand why many fans and pundits feel that if Texas doesn't want Horns Down don't do Horns up.

    Yes Texas players did the horns up many times but I would wait until they did it to us first... then give it back to them. Doing it during the the hand shaking is what bothers me.

    I don't think the players should have done it either but the behavior by Texas' coach yelling profanities was far more egregious than what the players did. It's up to our coach to talk to our players. But on the other hand it might make for an interesting matchup in the future.

    You're right. It's all about the journey and life in general. The thing I like about sports are observing how all the people involved deal with adversity...the players, coaches, fans and administration. It is an accelerated microcosm of life. It very satisfying to see everyone work together...

    This kid got a lucky break that most don't get. It could have easily been murder. Our justice system is consistently inconsistent.

    The only chance that UCF has in any of these games is luck. Coach Dawkins will never be any better than he was in the AAC. Sadly we have to live this losing until his contract expires.

    UCF placed the burden on our secondary regardless the outcome and it worked out. I never would have guessed they would play so well. They looked like new players...especially with the space uniforms.

    You are right. It's ot a trick play if they know what you are going to do. So I guess it wasn't a trick play. Just a bad play call.

    It really get down to basics and execution. That 2pt conversion didn't have a chance because of the blocking scheme or lack thereof. UCF played their hearts out and it made for a very entertaining game. I'm surprised how well the defense played being almost the worse in Div 1. I guess there...
