    Despite the naysayers I think it's a very important hire. Abe took a very poor program and turned it around. While we don't have any prolonged history of success it's important to get someone who can build on what has been built as we enter the Big12.

    Not exact. She did put out a call to possible transfers and said how hard the team plays but didn't say anything about any specific player/type of player they needed.

    Coach Abe was not happy about being sent to UCONN again, not that I can blame her. Game was great but so frustrating with the fouls called in the second quarter in particular. They showed a lot of fight though!

    WBB actually has less stoppages. Men have timeouts every four minutes. Just have the under 5 timeout and the end of the quarter and it seems that if a coach takes a time out in the quarter the under 5 timeout isn't activated

    UCF is up to 17 in NET yet Creme has them dropping down to an 8 seed. I understand NET isn't perfect but seems pretty absurdly low for a team that's peaking at the right time.

    UCF out rebounded Tulsa 50-20. As TJB74 said Tulsa's 3 point shooting kept it close but they had no answer for Kaba/Smith.

    Big accolades for the team today. Battles got POTY, DPOY and 1st team all conference. Coach Abe got Coach of the Year. Sanders and Kaba got 3rd team all conference and Smith got 6th Player of the Year. Link

    Well AP continues to ignore our team. Only 8 votes at the moment. The good news is that they have made it to 25th in the Coach's poll. That is the first time our women's basketball team has ever been ranked by either poll.

    With the win yesterday UCF jumped up to 25th in NET and is a mindblowing 4th in RPI. Obviously RPI is a flawed stat but still really impressive. Unfortunately the AP has been useless at recognizing their success.
