I strongly oppose the basis of the article, which is that you should try pumpkin beers, just because they exist.

Everyone and their mother makes a pumpkin beer now. And about 99% of them suck. The only ones, imo, are the better ones:

Jolly Pumpkin La Parcela
CCB Good Gourd
Weyerbacher
Pumking (only for one small glass, though)
Dogfish Head

Btw, Shipyard is terrible.

Btw, Shipyard is terrible.

Shipyard's Smashed Pumpkin is pretty good. Their regular pumpkin is no bueno. I'll probably try the Ballast Point one because that's a pretty talented brewery(and it's a Scottish ale).

The only thing that matters about fall and beer is a smoked porter with a slice of pecan pie.
