So there was a provision in the omnibus bill that requires the DOD to release all information it has on UFOs to the senate intelligence committee within 180 days.

Naturally, we aren't going to find out what they know, but its interesting that there is something that the senate wants to find out about.

Space force, asteroids, the pentagon admitting to having secured otherworldly objects and technology..... It's amazing to me that this isn't the biggest story of the decade, but it barely gets a mention.

Why do you think that is? I think people are really still trying to convince themselves this shit isnt real to prevent a complete mental breakdown.

I suppose part of it is that it really didn't get air time. There has been something else that the media has been obsessing over for a few years. Another part is that most people pretty much already knew that we aren't alone in the universe. Yeah, for some I'm sure there is an "out of sight, out of mind" aspect to it like what you said.

People knew it but they didnt KNOW it, KNOW it. What are the religious implications for people who hang on to structured religion so tightly? Are there any?

I dont really think there are any. Just like how the Bible doesn't say whether the earth is flat or round, it doesn't make a point out of addressing aliens because its kind of immaterial to the point of salvation. I'm sure some will be convinced that angels and gods were just aliens the whole time and leave the church, but that ball is already in motion.

You think it could be just as likely they're interdimensional beings and not necessarily galaxy hoppers?

Yeah, I absolutely do. Boosted and I were discussing this in the speed of light thread. We can only see in 2 dimensions. We can experience 3. But that doesn't mean the universe is limited to what we can experience.
