If you look hard enough, you'll find good guys and bad guys in every profession.

But at a time when our chief executive branch of the Government is going off the rails, we need the good guy journalists now more than ever.

Your last paragraph is why I’ve expressed so much frustration with the media. We the people deserve a better media than what we have. When the media is actively creating the narrative and going as far as fabricating stories to support it, how will we ever trust that what we read is correct or not.

We deserve a better President than we have too. When that President is actively creating the narrative that American journalism is "fake news," the alarm bells should be ringing.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't expose and vilify unprofessional journalists. We should! But when the sh*t hits the fan next year with a new House and the release of the Muehler Report, we'll be told by our President that it's 'The Greatest President of All Time versus Evil Muehler and the Fake News Media.'

It will represent a new low in our country if we still have Fox News and a vocal group of Trumpsters defending blatantly criminal behavior and cover-up that has been carefully documented with evidence. And why would that be? Because instead of recognizing the rule of law and the criminality of a President as we did with Nixon, instead we'll be told it's all part of a vast, nationwide conspiracy to bring Trump down by those evil Democrats and Fake News Media.

“Journalism” has become nothing more than propaganda for political agendas. It used to be “believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.” Now it’s believe none of what you read and half of what you see.

Not shocked.

Certain organizations (those that employ and those of your profession) seem to help push articles they WANT to read about vs reading TRUTHFUL articles.

Sadly, I don't think that will ever, every change.

NOTE: Many of us probably remember then NYTimes Reporter Jason Blair...a fast rising young star with the Times who quickly moved up the ranks...but after SOMEONE at the times finally started to fact-check his articles...more than half were proven to be fake.

Believe when Blair was finally caught in 2003...it just showed what the internet could do to journalism...as he was able to pull info from anywhere in the world in seconds and use it as his own and often, "reshape" the story to his preferred outcome and no one would know the difference.

Congratulations. You've swallowed Trump's bait, hook, line, and sinker.

Once upon a time, when the full breadth of the Watergate scandal was unveiled, supporters of both parties collectively winced and the President resigned. Sadly, that'll look like candy bar shoplifting compared to all of Trump's criminal shenanigans.

But it'll be people like you who'll be chanting "Civil War! Civil War!" once the stunning breadth of Trump and his cronies' crimes are announced. Real, honest-to-goodness crimes (you know, like felonies) are just the 'calculated' actions of a "biased" FBI inside an "anti-Trump" Deep State Government, right? [eyeroll]

People need to understand why Trump got elected.
As far as Mueller, I won't be satisfied until both Trump and Clinton are investigated.

faux news is the republican propaganda machine! Hitler, I mean Trump, loves him some faux news....yeah buddy! :)

cnn is a joke of a news organization. its actually sad how far they have fallen.
CNN outsources way, way too much, and there is limited integrity at those external organizations. That has been their primary problem, and continues to be their primary problem.

But even some of their in-house journalists are pushing lines that even other media organizations don't approve of. Ultimately they support any type of journalism, but they don't say kind things about CNN these days within their own walls.

cnn ran a story about how trump signing some hats for military could be against the law. i guess they forgot to report on this when all the other past presidents did this including obama.

several new orgs even reported that trump was the first president to miss visiting troops on christmas day since the early 2000s only to have him show up in iraq an hour or so later.

its almost like they are pushing an agenda....

Yeah, I get all my news directly from Trump. [eyeroll]
NPR and PBS are options outside of the advertising window that pits the Ethos of Truth versus the "rights" of the 1st Amendment (which does not require such).

Of course, if you listen to a number of lefties, they've accused them of being Koch-controlled as of late, when they point out facts of both guns and immigration. The irony of that is that the Koch brothers are pro-immigration.

It's because they were Trump brand hats. Conveinent that you left that part out. I honestly can't tell if you do it on purpose, or you actually aren't smart enough to understand the difference.

remember that time cnn aired that story about trump getting 2 scoops of ice cream while everyone else got 1. some hard hitting journalism going on over there...

You are only pretending to be this stupid, right? Bring back another one of those brain dead analogies you are known for, do it for old times sake, I need another laugh.
