27-38 JAGS vs PATS

These announcers feel free to critique Bortles on anything. That was a fine pass that was dropped, but announcers are in Pats D and hate Bortles so they have to say how he screwed up. They said nothing about the fave mask on the play.

The Jaguars and Bortles didnt get this far because they sucked. He hasn’t been exactly an MVP quarterback, but he’s been good enough when he had to be and he’s played like a winner so far in these playoffs. I wouldn’t be shocked if they win or it’s very close. This league needs new blood!

Touchdown!!

Agree
Gronk hit looked fine. Didn’t launch and shouldered him.

Agree. And the pass interference the following play looked a bit ticky tacky.

Unfortunately, I think the postseason experience by the Pats will eventually get them to methodically pull away in the second half.

The helmet to helmet was a good call. He lead with shoulder but still hit helmet to helmet.
There is no such thing as helmet to helmet penalty in NFL. They called unnecessary roughness. It’s legal to have helmet to helmet contact leading with the shoulder.

Great strip by jags defense but the zebras will probably give it back to new england

The call was unnecessary roughness. Not illegal hit to the head.
Because he hit him in head. That was the unnecessary part.

Definition
A helmet to helmet hit is when a player uses his helmet to strike an opposing player in the helmet. Due to the severe nature of the injuries that can occur as a result of this type of hit, helmet to helmet hits are penalties in the NFL, whether incidental or deliberate. Defensively, helmet to helmet penalties are usually flagged during the process of making a tackle. However, the penalty can also be enforced on an offensive player making a block or a defensive player making a block after a turnover.

I'm sure the Jags will take the penalty vs no Gronk trade any day.

Jax coach even said it was a god d call. Gronk isn’t out for game unless it was a hit to his head.

Ok, so there is a helmet to helmet rule in the NFL basically. They call it unnecessary roughness

Horrible first down play calling. The Jags turned into pussies and that's why they will lose.
