3 Cops plant drug evidence, caught via own body camera

No.No.No.

The first 30 seconds played in reverse. He found the drugs twice.

Why do these body cams ever shut off? You can easily fit an 8-10 hour shift worth of HD video on a 32GB sdcard which cost like $10.

Need to applaud the developers of these body cams to have the wherewithal to have it continuously recording and saving a set amount of video prior to hitting the "record" button.

Effing dirt bags. I need to get a dash cam to cover my ass.

Based on the video they could have just recreated the discovery of the drugs for the purpose of the body cam. Too bad the backup time isn't a minute.

these are the type of dirt bags that once they discovered your dash cam would try to destroy it

If this is a planting and not a replacement, then I'm glad they were caught. Criminal behavior from police should never be tolerated.

I'm wondering what the procedures are in Baltimore. In at least one local agency, the officers upload their own videos into evidence and would know exactly how the cameras record. I can see a department with the checkered history of Baltimore having independent video processing to create another layer of accountability.

This is my first thought when I read the news. Of course, I'm a big cop supporter and biased.

I believe the ACLU made an app that uploads your video as you take it for this very reason, the exact situation you described has occurred multiple times.

dash cams dont typically connect to the internet or bluetooth. some of them have gps enabled but its not standard. they typically store to a mirco sd card and thats how you get the video. im guessing you are talking about phone video, which is different.

something tells me those cops wouldve found it and destroy it.
