In O'Leary's press conference, from the front page, he said "We'll have three on scholarship, counting Bo. That's enough. A lot of
people have four or five on scholarship. Normally, the last two guys
are looking to leave. Three is the major numbers." Who's left out, without a scholarship? Or, is this a misunderstanding.

DiNovo was moved to WR/SE/WildKnight position(s).

Patti was a walk-on last year...no clue if he will be with the program this summer/fall...but if he does...can't hurt to have a walk-on at that position.

Not a bad scenario, in most cases where you are carrying 4 or 5 you're either wasting practice reps that the top 3 could be getting or your wasting a scholarship on someone carrying a clipboard. With Dinovo at WR/WildKnight, he'll be able to contribute but still provide us with back-up in case of the worst case scenario where the top 3 go down. I wouldn't be surprised if Patti transfers.

He has already burned a redshirt year at Boise State.

He already received one NCAA Hardship transfer approval from the NCAA (played last year as a Redshirt Soph at UCF).

While he has 2 years of eligibility remaining...don't see him transferring anywhere but a Div I-AA or lower school so he can play right away.

No way will the NCAA approve of another hardship transfer approval...nor will he sit out another year...just to play 1 more.

I can see him staying with UCF...or even leaving football all together and just focusing in on his studies at UCF (might have enough to graduate this year).

Patti had to transfer from Boise and realized at UCF he isn't going to start. At this point, if he transfers its for playing time at a lower division school. I doubt that'll happen. He gets a little playing time at a big time school now - why leave?

We didn't want to burn Harris's redshirt. Now we have Holman for 2 more years and Harris for 4 and can redshirt Schneider.

That's a good problem to have.

I think USF proved this point just as well

If Patti wants to continue his career in football his only option is to transfer to a lower division. He's not playing at UCF with the 3 other QBs that we have. His only other option is to work towards his degree. He's not getting a scholarship either, so he may be better off quitting football altogether to work 100% towards his degree. Sort of like Gabbert. That's not a bad thing either.

Pete Dinovo seems like a good kid, but this move had to be made. His performance against Penn State was unacceptable for a division 1 quarterback. Hopefully things work out for him at WR...believe it or not he actually has an outside shot at playing given how thin we are at the position.
