As I said in week 1, GOL is counting tickets sold + 12,501 students when he announces these numbers, not actual tickets shown. If students don't show his numbers are way off.

We're back to the terrible attendance numbers of Citrus Bowl years past. The students won't even bother...

With regular season ticket holders not showing up, it'll be hard to pad the numbers. Thanks GOL!

I'm not trying to suggest that the numbers for Furman were great, but were you around when we played in the Citrus Bowl? Trust me, attendance hasn't gotten anywhere near that bad. Maybe it will get that bad later this season, who knows, but we aren't there yet.

citrus bowl attendence was usually well below 20k. and 12 to 13 k was not unusual. It is ok to be discouraged, but don't start making up nonsense.

The point of this post was not to compare attendance figures to seasons ago. It was to make the point the GOL is failing at his AD job as well. You can't announce 40,000 tickets sold, and then have official attendance of 36,000. It doesn't work that way (unless you count attendance as "butts in seats" which we don't).

History of ticket sales doesn't matter. The fact is we are 0-3 and lost to FIU and Furman at home. With the same staff in place for next year our season ticket sales will not sky rocket. This program need a jolt of energy.
