5-0 Loss at home last night to FAU.............

It all comes down to how we finish in conference, and the conference tourney.

Its important we beat teams that have either dont field a football team or has a bad football program.

Last year at least UCF was beating OOC teams that landed them in the Top 25 early. Its not happening now.

I'm not saying I see this team going anywhere. I'm just saying that a midweek loss to a ranked team in extra innings isn't that big of a deal. I'm waiting to see how conference play works out. If we can't finish top 4 in the conference then I'll have more of an issue. But was this a team anyone expected to make a regional at the start of the season?

Currently, 17-14 record with 6 freshmen on roster and the rest of players have been in the program for multiple years. Is this the best we can do? I don't follow it much these days but know we've been better in the past.

Now is the winter of our discontent...

I sometimes think we could substitute our fans into Richard III

I want to say we have a lot of juco transfer guys but I could be wrong. I certainly think we could be better, but not by much with what we have

It went to 11 innings. FAU is in the top 15. Relax.

I'm kinda surprised many of you are so complacent about the baseball program. And now Im paraphrasing....

"Ahhh it was a weekday game against a Top 15 program BUT it went into extra innings so thats good!"

"Hey we took two out on three from MEMPHIS! HOOORAY!!!"

"These OOC games are meaningless. Lets wait until the tournament" (where we'll get shucked again quickly)

Where is the f-ing passion for the baseball program?!? My greatest memories of the program was when UCF faced off against Stetson (DiNardo/Fox?) in the ASUN. Future major leaguers duking it out as the conferences foremost aces of their time. THAT was exciting and this is coming from someone who is not a big baseball fan.

Theres NONE of that anymore folks! Sub par facilities or not, UCF's program is underwater and nothing seems to indicate its going to get better despite playing subpar northern teams in the AAC (UCONN, Temple Cincy).

Sorry but there was a lot more electricity in the air back in the ASUN/TAAC days. Where have those days gone? Id say it was when we fired our ole HOF baseball coach.....what was his name again??????? ;(

Fire this b@tch!

Here is my problem, how does f@&cking FAU have a top 15 program and we don't? And this is becoming by a growing trend with FAU. And they aren't the only one's. Stetson is routinely good, and USF is pretty good as well.

Rooney gotta go.

Rooney gotta go.

In baseball we lost to Dallas Baptist. In basketball we lost to Davidson.
FAU has a top 15 baseball team. FGCU is called dunk city.

We just enroll alot of students. #firerooney

There's really no good excuse for the performance of this baseball program. Central Florida produces so many professional-quality baseball players. Time to move on from Rooney.

I hate these stupid comparisons. What has UCF ever done that it should be a regular powerhouse in any sport? It is hard to be top 20 in anything. UCF and FAU have very similar histories and similar records over the last 15-20 years. What makes UCF so special that you should be upset that FAU has a good year and we do not? Fire Rooney keep Rooney, whatever, but stop with the whiney entitlement BS.
