5 college football teams that should hire Kirby Smart

No matter what you hear in the contrary, since 2008, the Crimson Tide have built a dynasty in college football.

Behind that flashy field of running backs and the ever-winning stankface of Nick Saban is Kirby Smart.

Smart pioneers the staunch Alabama defense. Since 2009, he has won multiple assistant coach awards and sent dozens of league-ready players to the NFL.

This isn’t his first time around the block. Multiple teams have reached out to Smart about coaching positions since the Alabama’s rise. However, the 39-year-old UGA grad has stayed put … until now.

There is a ripe field of high-profile coaching positions available in college football. All five of these teams should be giving Smart a long, hard look:

If Richt loses to UF this week, he might be on the market. I doubt he comes to UCF, but that would be amazing.

The South Carolina seems like the perfect fit for Kirby Smart and I would guess he is #1 target for them.

Agreed but Smart is a UGA grad and there are rumors that he is waiting for the UGA job to open so he may not want the South Carolina job as his first HC gig
