This tweet links to this article which says "Last week, the CDC doled out it's report covering August 2020 to August of this year..." in which the report it links to is actually a TeamTuckerCarlson.com article that quotes a bunch of stats but doesn't actually link to any CDC data that I can find. My guess is this is a specific data set they are misrepresenting but I don't know because they don't obviously link to it.
Here's the actual CDC data on COVID pediatric deaths which is 486 from Jan 2020 thru yesterday.

And 486k lost their parent to a disease that currently has a vaccine that prevents nearly all deaths.
Per the link I posted, it's broken down as:
0-4 = 148 deaths
5-18 = 338 deaths
It is small. But do you know how many pediatric flu deaths we had last flu season nationwide? ONE. Thanks to all the COVID mitigation flu barely spread at all. Flu comparisons used to be all the rage so I guess you could conservatively say that someone under 18 was ~100x more likely to die of COVID than FLU last season.
When I compare flu to COVID deaths, that tells me that mitigation strategies worked - it's not evidence that we don't need them. But this is always the problem with mitigation. If it's successful, it's success is used as evidence that it wasn't necessary in the first place.
The vast majority of influenza deaths amongst the pediatric population are infants under 2 who have not received a previous influenza vaccination. It’s actually a case study on why the flu vaccines are critical for public health.
