Why?? They have a moderator and don’t have Trolls. Sometimes that’s good enough. Additionally, they seem to have some nice firsthand information and stories. Especially interviews and info about recruiting

When I was there the information was not exclusive. There might be some donor tidbits every now and again, but that information is always ultimately available. The real problem are the pretentious assholes there. It's very cliquey and feels like high school keyboard warriors run the place. The have a mod but he doesn't moderate the in-crowd (aforementioned keyboard warriors), just the trolls that find their way there as well. There's trolls here just like everywhere, just ignore them and they leave 100% of the time.

edit: if you pay for the service to get the gear its worthwhile to check in every now and again I guess, when it comes time for renewal though it's not worth it.
