Today was Media Day for both the women and men. Johnny Dawkins was unavailable (something came up) so we spoke to assistant coaches Kevin Norris and Robbie Laing. Then we had maybe 30 minutes for player interviews, then it was rinse & repeat with WBB head coach Sytia Messer and a few minutes afterward for players.
I spoke exclusively to newcomers and I was impressed with each and every one. I'll be dropping those interviews in the days to come, probably will try and post the coach ones first.
One of the interesting things from today was some not-so-subtle comments about this MBB team being more cohesive with better chemistry. Kevin Norris said as much and I was told by Trace that C.J. Walker said similar. Sounded like there were some "me guys" on last year's MBB team.
