All games for 2016 (Navy has only played 5...others have played 6 or 7).

Good to Very Good:

UCF's D is #1 in sacks (almost 4 per game...no one even averages 3 per game)
UCF's Offense is #5 in scoring (33.5 pts per game. USF is #1 with 44.1 pts per game)
UCF's D is #4 in yds per game (353 yds. Houston is #1 at 299 yds per game).
UCF D is #6 in scoring (25.0 while UH is #1 at 19.0 pts per game)
UCF Rushing is tied for #4 at 207 yds per game (USF is #1 at 269 yds)
UCF is #5 in 1st downs by opposition (20 per game)
UCF D is #2 in opposition 3rd down conversion 28.6%. Memphis is #1 at 24.7%)

UCF is #1 in Red Zone Scoring (TD & FG) at 94.7%
UCF D is #4 in Red Zone Scoring at 74.1%
UCF is #3 in announced attendance average (39,252. ECU is #1 at 46,974)

(Somewhat) Bad:
UCF is #9 in passing efficiency. (Navy is #1, skewed by low attempts but Houston is #2)
UCF is #8 in net punting.
UCF is #9 in FG % (8-11, 72.7%. USF is #1 at 100%, while UCONN is at 90%)
UCF is tied for 9th in 1st Downs per game (20.3 while UH is #1 with 27.9)
UCF is #8 in turnover margin (even). Tulane is #1 at +8.

The Ugly:
UCF is tied for 10th in giving up the most sacks (19. USF is #1 giving up just 8 sacks in 7 games).
UCF is #11 in 3rd down conversions (just 31.6% UH is #1 averaging 52.7%)
UCF is #12 (dead last) in penalty yards per game 72.3 yds per game. Navy is #1 at just 19.2 yds per game and UCONN is #2 at just 29 yds per game.

our corners are definitely the weakest part of the Defense

I wish that DB transfer from Bama was eligible this season

"UCF is #8 in net punting."

Has Houston regressed? I seem to remember him being pretty good last season.

The things that stand out for sure is the penalty yards and the punting as the bad.

The sacks and rushing yards are huge improvements from last year.

I will say, that USF has a great running game. Mack and Flowers are almost as good of a 1-2 punch running the ball as there is in college football

Michigan killed our net punting.
2 bogus targeting calls have hurt our penalties per game.... though still bad.
This style offense gives up a lot of sacks. See Oregon last year (15th in the country in sacks allowed).
3rd down conversions and number of 1st downs is also offense style related. It relies on big plays.

Turnovers and pass efficiency are killing us though.

Has Houston regressed? I seem to remember him being pretty good last season.

Several kicks have been blocked/partially blocked...plus different styles have been used (Rugby punting and regular hang time).

Thought past 2-3 games have been better...but he was certainly gun-shy after the disaster at Ann Arbor when defenders got to him sooo easily.

Hmmm. Payton and Holman are the biggest disappointments. Not really a surprise there. Funny that these articles
don't really give any more or better insight to these Rivals UCF boards.

Juan gives very detailed x&o film breakdowns after every game(tweets some of it out), beats 50 pic photo albums in the age of twitter/insta
