Here is how the AAC stands as of today...with some surprises near the top and bottom of the standings:

Cincinnati 6-0 (17-2)
Houston 5-2 (15-4)
Wichita State 5-2 (15-4)
SMU 4-3 (14-6)
UCF 4-3 (13-6)
Memphis 4-3 (13-7)
Tulsa 4-4 (11-9)
UCONN 3-3 (10-9)
Tulane 3-4 (12-7)
Temple 2-5 (10-9)
ECU 2-6 ( 8-11)
s. florida 0-7 (7-13)

UCF's next game is Thursday night at Wichita State.

No real separation in the middle of the pack, yet. Temple, Tulane, Tulsa and UConn can have a good night and beat anybody in the league.

Some sports pundits say the AAC is a 5 bid league this year. Should be at least 3 or 4.

Cincy and Witicha are the only two clear front runners. The middle all looks solid from what I have seen.

4 at most unless someone wins tourney outside top 4. Even then I say only 4. We aren’t good enough so we have to win tourney.

A win at Wichita or at Cincy would absolutely put us on the bubble even if we finish 5th or 6th in the league (and avoid a bad loss).

I'm also saying out side of the top 2, there are 7 teams who are capable of beating anyone - that includes freaking Tulane! Anyone of those teams could make a run in the conference tourney and win it.

4 teams should be the number in the NCAAT. 5 is a real possibility.
