Aaron Hernandez guilty of all charges.

I'm absolutely shocked by this. Granted I didn't follow 100% of the testimony, but I thought there's no way he's getting convicted of Murder 1. I was even surprised that the defense threw in there that he admits he was there that night, but was scared, etc. I thought most of the evidence was circumstantial and that he would be found guilty of something lesser (maybe weapons charges or something). That said, I've thought all along that he's a murderer so I'm happy with the verdict; however, now the appeals start.

When the jury went longer than 3 days of deliberations i thought he was getting off...

Its pretty obvious he did it but with only circumstantial evidence im surprised it happened...

To be fair, hes a good kid that made a questionable call but has learned from it...

heard in baltimore...Dammit, we have to go looking for another tight end. "Ray, I thought you said you gave him your lawyer's number?"

They are already saying they sentenced him to life? i thought there would be hearings for the penalties? or is it mandatory sentencing?

Just heard an interview with Dan Wetzel, who was in the courtroom and has been covering the trial for its duration. He mentioned that in the jury's press conference, they said they didn't believe the defense at all, especially because their story changed and they put forth a wall of silence when asked if they believed AH's fiancée's testimony. Basically smiled and offered no comments. What took them so long was that they had to follow the judge's instructions to review all the evidence (like 400 some odd exhibits).

one juror mentioned Robert Kraft's testimony that convinced him AH was guilty:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/15/jurors-call-krafts-testimony-compelling-evidence-against-hernandez/

Kraft testified under oath that he spoke with Hernandez when reports first surfaced of Lloyd's death, and that Hernandez had given Kraft an assurance that he was not involved. Hernandez claimed to Kraft that he had been inside a club at the time that Lloyd was killed, which sounds like a good alibi - except that it raised questions in the minds of jurors as to how, exactly, Hernandez could have known what time Lloyd was killed.

"One part, for me, was Aaron's alleged statement that . . . he was at a club at that time," one juror said. "We still don't know the exact time of Odin's murder, specifically. So I don't know how Aaron would have had that information two years ago. Even today, after medical examiners' review, we still don't have that information."

Worst legal strategy of all time:

It wasn't until closing arguments that the defense finally established its counter-narrative for what happened on June 17, 2013. Hernandez's co-defendants, in a PCP-induced rage, had shot Lloyd to death as a shocked Hernandez looked on, this version of events went. Even at the time, it was a baffling strategy: it's not on the defense to explain what happened, only to poke enough holes in the state's version. And the defense had already cast significant doubt on the one piece of physical evidence tying Hernandez to the crime scene.

Looks like former Nebraska star RB Lawrence Phillips (#6 pick in the NFL Draft, lasted a few years in the NFL before he blew that) wants to join in on the fun...as he is now being investigated for killing his cellmate in prison, where Phillips is serving 31 years for a variety of counts.

yeah, i imagine they thought it was over at that point...so lets create some doubt that he actually pulled the trigger to avoid murder 1
