I didn't catch it all, but I heard new stadium named after a donor who is giving 1.5 million to kickstart the fundraising. They are hoping to begin construction after this upcoming 2017 baseball season and open it for the 2018 season.

We seem to having more frequent large donations to the athletic dept since we cleaned house. Our marketing department and just about everything visually seems to be better, the football banquet with the large banners for example. I honestly am trying to figure out what was holding us back. Was it the whole department being behind or what?

Yes, duh! Just not a competent, professional, hard working, you name it bunch. Mediocrity run amok. It's another reason that southerners can't get hired up north -- "we'll get around to it" is the mantra in this region. People can talk about Frost all they want, but the most important hire was Danny!

You couldn't be more wrong. No one wanted to come work for us because Tribble ran off all of the young talented people and replaced them with the fine folks that made the patch. It took awhile for people to want to work for UCF again.

Why? The first base line looks awesome, just needs a roof for the upper deck and a beer garden.

They are calling it "expansion and renovation of the UCF Baseball Complex."

Can't see the outfield, but I'm assuming that's where the beer garden is going in. Something simple like this will work down the right field line. Attendance would double along with concessions sales.

UCF already has a shaded "BYOB Beer Garden" deck beyond the right field fence.
