Game was phenomenal. Castellanos was good, almost too good. Count me up as one of those worried about some asshole team trying to steal him away. I am at least buoyed a bit by the fact that we are going to the B12, and with that schedule, I believe, have a clear shot for the playoffs (hard as it may be to achieve, its there).
I've said before, I root against Dillon Gabriel at OU, in the interest of the message it sends to the strength of our program. But, I think the bigger message we want coming from all of these starters that leave for "better opportunities", is the grass is not always greener. If/when Gus is trying to convince players being pulled to stay, its better to say "look at X,Y, and Z - who left and are now benched or looking at playing a shitty bowl." rather than "look at X who is now playing lights out and a Heisman contender." Sour grapes aside, looking at it objectively, I can't help but want them to fail.
Of course, I'm not counting situations like DJ Mack, who transferred out because they weren't looking like they had much left of an opportunity here and wanted playing time at a smaller program - I will continue to root for them.
