It's one of those years....when we do recover it, they check replay and the knee was down prior to the fumble. When we don't recover it, we had multiple chances, but our guys are trying to pick it up and score as opposed to falling on it. One of those years for sure.....Somehow managed to not even cover the fumble on the last Cincy drive.
Yeah, so turning the ball over regularly and never creating turnovers is a valid complaint.Pull out the win and people still complaining. Geebus
I‘m pretty sure you're kidding. At least I hope you are. It’s because we don’t have a turnover chain! Can’t we borrow Miami’s? They’re no longer using it!
I think running around with ball is good enough. Or put a sword sticker on helmet for every takeaway or TD scored.I‘m pretty sure you're kidding. At least I hope you are.
The Miami turnover chain was so Godawful and juvenile as well as all the other gimmicky crap other schools came up with. But nothing was as embarrassingly bad as FSU’s short-lived “turnover backpack”!
I couldn’t stop laughing at the image of a FSU defender sporting that darling little thing on his back while wearing huge shoulder pads!!! I think it lasted one game and was promptly vanquished after Slick Willie Taggart got lambasted by by the media and the vast majority of FSU fans.
If UCF ever does a stupid turnover gimmick like those other schools, I will be very ashamed of my alma mater.
For those that know how, maybe someone can post a picture of that backpack so anybody who never saw it can get a good chuckle. 😂
What is with that? I kept saying that they would adapt and tighten it up and seldom do. They also seem to wait until the ball is in the air before they react which means they are not reading the field very well. And once the receiver catches the ball they wait for the receiver to come to them. Anyway that is how I see it.Can’t get an INT when you’re playing 10 feet of the receiver.
Not turning around to play the ball is a big mistake. When you turn around you are seen as a receiver with just as much right to make a play on the ball. You can get away with more contact that would be called if not looking for the ball. The corners never seem to look back to the ball. It seems like they’re in great position most of the time too. Just turn/react when the wr is making his reaction to the ball. Seems like DB 101, but seldom see it.
