After graduating from high school in the 70s, it was college and a good lottery number.

Looking back, how in the world could our Government justify using college attendance as a factor in whether you got drafted or not? Basically, it—along with medical deferrals (e.g. Trump’s ‘bone spurs’)—were built-in rich / middle class kid exceptions. The whole process was designed to make damn sure all the poor kids got sent over to fight and die for us in Vietnam.

Well this ruling definitely eliminates the transgender aspect of who is required to register.
