Uh, schlock means cheap or trashy in Yiddish, as does schlocky the adjective.

I don't know what you can safely predict this early, given we played a nobody team and won, then were simply out of our talent level today.
UCF clearly cannot rely on the long passing game, we suck at that. Short passes and wide runs are a strong point as our receivers are blocking well. We force the deep ball on defense with an aggressive run defense and pretty good coverage on short yardage passing.

We have to be able to pass the ball with some efficiency. It's just that simple. Our defense will be fine as will the running game. Our QBs have to get the ball to the receivers.
I think you guys are going to win this game...better athletes, pissed off attitude and a pretty good coach.
We'd prefer you support us for your final conference expansion to 16 if the Big 12 doesn't vote for us. You need a Florida market school for recruiting and to get you more regional coverage from your TV package. In fact, we wouldn't mind a conference bidding war for UCF if the Big 12 only adds two schools this round.

I think we'll be in a lot of games but the QB play has to improve and at least be 'average'.
It will be the difference of only winning 2-3 games and being competitive in some losses vs winning 5-6 games.
That's okay. It's been a dead language for decades. My immigrant grandparents and my dad spoke it. When Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles plays on network TV, they censor all the mild English words, but don't bleep the any of the Yiddish obscenities.
Obviously special teams will need a bit of a review to see how to avoid those problems. I read somewhere that 9 of Michigan's 14 possessions started in UCF territory. We have got to do better with field position. Our D can hold if they are not continually pinned in our own territory.
Special teams depend so much on coaching. Special teams were the only strong area of last year's team.
Also, GOL as well as many other coaches use starters on their special teams, others less so.
That said, this could be an easy fix (I hope)
