ECU 0-2
Cinci 0-3

Most possible scenario is us(i)f beats Temple and loses to Navy. In that case, all we gotta do is win out and the East is ours.

If both UCF and USF win out until 11/26 then our matchup will be for the division title. Temple would have 2 conference losses after losing to USF this weekend, and if we beat USF then we would both have 1 conference loss with UCF holding the head to head tie breaker.

But UCF and USF have a tough remaining schedule. I doubt either of us wins out until 11/26. If Temple wins this weekend the division title is theirs.

I'm hoping USF loses regardless of the east race. For UCF I'll be happy with another win or two. Already met my expectations

"If Temple wins this weekend the division title is theirs." That is probably true. Ummm...gotta rethink me pulling for Temple to beat duh*bulls. Ummmm...

It's a tough call. Winner of USF @ Temple will probably win the East, then they have a shot at the AAC Championship and a Cotton Bowl bid if Boise drops a game. That would ruin the fun of holding USF's currently empty trophy case over their heads!

Very true. If USF beats Temple, we control our own destiny.

So for Temple and duh*bulls are neck-to-neck in the 2nd quarter.

USF offense is really good but play no defense.

Go Bulls!!!...so says the math at this point. I think I just puked up a little while writing this.

Usf beats temple. We lose to houston. Usf losses to memphis or Navy? We beat USF. That's a 3-way tie at the top with no clear winner from head-to-head. I don't know what the next tiebreaker is....we're probably out no matter what. We choked away the win versus Temple. We've done nothing but sink our own boat, which I expected this year.

duh*bulls falling apart towards the end.

Temple 44 USF 30 3minutes to go. USF QB Flowers went out with a left hamstring pull.

Good. I dont necessarily want the Bulls to collapse, but im glad they werent able to beat a team we lost to last week.
That slight bragging right will not be enjoyed by the Bulls and their fans tonight...wherever they are.

Wow! What is this loss going to do to their already great attendance?

USF simply can't stop the run. Navy game should be interesting too.

USF was basically handed the east this year. Junior qb and rb with plenty of experience. Nothing but a massive choke job. Their defense sucks. I love it!

Should make everyone excited for Milton's future despite occasional struggles & that's with him not enrolling in the Spring

I'm personally happy we dont play Navy on a regular basis. No one in the east apparently can't stop their run offense.

We play in a 70K seat NFL stadium.
convince Temple it needs an on campus stadium***
or book more games against ND, Penn State and Navy
im sure UCF would love to pack your stadium to 70k. theres a fan base that wants it to happen. trust us.

After beating USF, Temple now has the inside track to the East division championship. If they win out they will be the champs and it looks like they should beat everyone left on their schedule.

SF Frost said that we had 40 different chances to put Temple away last week, and that is true. But to me, deciding to play a prevent defense took away another opportunity to put them away.

The prevent defense is the easiest defense to move the ball against. Why use it...ever?

I say keep the pedal to the metal until the game is over. Always try to put pressure on the QB because he is the guy who will beat you when time is running out. And if your strongest defense is not good enough to win the game, then congratulate your opponent for being too good, and move on.

When I was at the UCF fantasy camp last August, the campers were given a 10-minute office visit with coach Frost. I spoke with Scott about how the prevent defense may have prevented Nebraska from being the 1st team to win 3 straight national championships. Nebraska was the only unbeaten team on January 1, 1994. They were 17 point underdogs to Charlie Ward's Florida State team. Nebraska took a 16-15 lead with 1 minute and 20 seconds left in the 1994 Orange Bowl Classic. They kicked off to FSU and played the prevent defense. FSU quickly moved down the field into scoring positon and kicked the winning field goal to become the 1993 NC. It made me sick...as did Temple's final drive against UCF's prevent defense.

I badly wanted Tom Osborne to let his defense win the game for him and Husker Nation on that final drive in 1994. The Husker defense had played like warrior poets all night long. But Tom tied one hand behind their back at crunch time by playing the prevent defense, and they could not stop FSU from scoring. It is a bad memory for me.

Nebraska won the national championship the next 2 seasons. I told SF how absurd the prevent defense is, how it only prevents you from winning, but I guess he did not agree with me. Oh, well, I tried.

Although SF and I may disagree about the use of the prevent defense, I cannot deny that I think SF is a very fine head football coach.

Go Knights! Rise and Conquer!

Nice read above!

Needless to say, UCF beating UCONN today would be very HUGE to stay in conference race.

Temple needs to lose two games. We are fans for Cinci, UCONN, Tulane, ECU to beat temple. Although I like Temple and the way they play. The are a pretty good team this year.

I was hoping that USF would win the Temple game, that did not happen. Temple plays very strong in the 4th quarter and beats USF easily. Temple is in control now they need to lose another game for UCF to have a chance, and looking that their schedule they should win out. UCF just needs to play one game at a time, and hope we become bowl eligible. Either way I am happy with the competitive product Frost brings each week. I see greatness in his coaching ability in year one, yes there will be learning moments. :sunglasses:
