American vs the P5

Three wins today. UConn over Virginia. Memphis over Kansas. South Florida over Syracuse. Plus ECU and Temple weren't embarrassed. Unfortunately Maryland's depth will make us look like the weak link in games versus the P5 this week.

That should be six wins against the P5 this season. The American's performance against the P5 will improve Houston's case for a playoff berth if they stay undefeated. At the very least, the conference has the inside track to the Group of Five major bowl.

Shame AAC isn't considered a power conference. Half our teams are better than 50% of the P5 teams.
