So as my group was in line heading home, the discussion of GOL comes up, and one thought being discussed was, why not do what FSU did, they didn't "Fire" Bobby Bowden when he was mere aching the end of his career, they went out, hired the best OC to improve the offense (their issue) and officially gave Jimbo the title "Coach in waiting". So what we do is, go out and get our next head coach, put him in the staff, give him the title "coach in waiting" so that the recruits know who their future coach is, and let GOL have another year to right the ship. The man made UCF football, and after winning us the Fiesta Bowl, deserves a chance to become the winningest coach in UCF history, and deserves to go out on top. I would think this idea is a happy medium. And NO, I'm not necessarily talking about Brent Key here, that ship appears to have sailed.
So what do others think? And don't just dismiss it out of hand, have an honest and serious debate
