An improved, more confident Justin Holman leads UCF football

Wow.., exciting stuff. Now I guess it comes down to the O-line and receivers as Stanback will probably be back to his freshman form or better. We have the talent at receiver and to a degree on the offensive line. They just need to gain experience.

I imagine we will see a very vanilla offensive package against FIU. Probably mostly keeping the offense within itself. Let the O'line gel while allowing the RB's to get some running in. O'leary is a master at hiding on what he is doing. I'm sure he doesn't want to give any Offense away for film study for future games... Looking at the schedule and at that 2nd game against @Stanford, that would be a really big game to win to wake people up on 2015 UCF Knights!

Also, supposedly this is down year for SouthCarolina. Taking that game and going 4-0 into conference play would be huge....However, I have my Black and Gold goggles on tight right now, so am very biased.

from the article
We get back to winning in week four, hosting Central Florida in Columbia. While UCF has built a somewhat impressive program over the last few years, this is a simple case of the American Athletic Conference power “having to play against the big boys.” Rated as having the 8th easiest schedule in the country the Knights will only have a couple of chances to prove themselves, one of which will be against Stanford in week two, giving us a good opportunity to see what they’ve really got and to be prepared.

The statements that hold us back from being a slam dunk as an invite to a P5 conference.

Well we can't help who we play in conference and our OOC schedule is meh. Furman and FIU bring us way down. We're in scheduling limbo it seems, We're just good enough to scare people but not bad enough to be considered a "cupcake."

We're amongst the top of whats remaining in the G5 but its not what it used to be unlike 10 years ago. I can only hope we finish 1-1 against the P5 this year and hope for two losses at worse for the others.

Win one of Stanford/ South Carolina and this year will be a huge success. I expect our defense to be up and down all season......This team will go as far as Holman, Stanback/Taj McGowan take us.
