And now for the most insane thing of the day

Seems like a violation of the 5th Amendment to prosecute them for evasion.

Let’s see if you can articulate his point, much less counter it with something other than a gif.
Indeed. Even if people disagree and think I'm wrong, make a counter... especially since he blames me for the pandemic and thinks I'm an idiot.

Otherwise, he's just another civics ignorant American. I've never liked this assertion by the US IRS, especially given the penalties used against 'the little people,' and not just organized crime.

People argue for strong penalties, government enforcement, mandatory minimums... thinking of Amazon and GE, drug lords and murderers, white supremacists (Dyllion Roof) and the like.

But what we often get is a custom baker or florist, 5 grams of possession or a seat belt infraction let alone 110 years for a wreck, and my favorite of all... The Covington Kid!

LOL Gifs are used when the point is so idiotic that any kind of counter gives it more credibility than such stupidity deserves.

When it comes to this practice, I confess that I am but a novice. Ucfmikes is the board's Master. ☝️

So no, you can’t articulate what’s a fairly debatable interpretation of the 5th Amendment.

What he’s saying is that since the 5th Amendment protects you from being forced to incriminate yourself, prosecuting someone for not telling the government about illegally obtained income is basically a violation of the 5th Amendment protection against self-incrimination.

Is that really “so idiotic” that it doesn’t even deserve a response? Or did you just not understand it and want to be a snarky asshole?

Yes, everything I say is idiotic ... especially when it comes true.

Ummm ... he's just repeating the same sh-- over and over again 95% of the time, if not more.

Just so everyone is clear what I said from the get-go. Note the 'Seems like' ...
This always bothered me. Seems like a violation of the 5th Amendment to prosecute them for evasion.

Especially when we use it against the poorest Americans, not just organized crime.

Probably the best meme, with the most appropriate of characters, on this point ... ever. ;)

Even more appropriate with clearly affluent white guys in suits next to him ...

Chappelle was already my favorite, motherf'ing comic genius to start this century, and his 'common sense' atittude is what I love about him. He's right there with the brilliance of Stone & Parker on 'calling it all out.'

In fact, the coverage of the trial of Rittenhouse was yet another 'litmus test' of people's attitudes towards the US Bill of Rights. The few, true Liberal papers were utterly approving of the judge scolding the prosecution, while the typical US Mass Media was complaining about it.

The 5th Amendment shouldn't be about who's right and who's wrong. It should be especially about who's wrong. Tax evasion is a very, very debatable subject, especially from the standpoint of the 5th Amendment ... especially from the standpoing of everyday Americans.

And, to come back to the OP ... the US IRS not talking to Organized Crime, but everyday, taxpaying citizens. "Report it or you will be prosecuted by us ... even if we will refer you to prosecutors if you do report it!"

I got a general distain for the US IRS after working at the US Census Bureau (don't get me started).

Yep. When you are repeat the same BS over and over and over, it deserves the same idiotic response 100% of the time. Not 95% of the time. Anything else would be a complete waste of time. You’re idiotic posts don’t deserve acknowledgment by any worthwhile thought
You’re literally the scum of society as demonstrated by your Twitter rants alone
