Bizarre Foods and traveling chef Andrew Zimmern is taking a lot of heat for calling out Chinese restaurants in the Midwest. Speaking about the reasons that he’s opening a Chinese food restaurant in a mall in his home state of Minnesota, Zimmern said “Well, No. 1, I think I’m saving the souls of all the people from having to dine at these horseshit restaurants masquerading as Chinese food that are in the Midwest,”

Now he has a point, most Chinese restaurants in America are horseshit. Of course, he’s apologizing to Asian Americans now.

Man, I miss Bourdain already. He would’ve doubled down and said they can stop making horseshit food if they are offended.

Zimmern took a shot at Orlando earlier this year and Orlando twitter went ham on him. He apologized and recently filmed an episode here. Premieres sometime next year.

lol and to appease the raging left wingers, he had to include language indicating that he's aware that he's white and how awful that is.

“I am completely responsible for what I said and I want to apologize to anyone who was offended or hurt by those sound bite,” he wrote. “Food should be for everyone, and yet culturally there is a terrible and centuries old history of white people profiting off of other cultures, in food, music, and elsewhere.”

He loves Chinese food and culture enough to open a restaurant yet now he's forced to apologize for that because he's an evil whitey. #2019

i really wish the food at the theme parks was better. people from all over the country and even the world come here and then eat that terrible "food" and will always remember how bad it was.

Most people at theme parks are just trying to make their kids happy and survive the outing. I think the food is secondary. The food at the Disney resort hotel restaurants has always been pretty good though.

Over the past couple years the quality of theme park food has definitely been on the upswing. Although there's still the classics - each time a new land or restaurant open - the parks try to offer new and exciting things. There's a variety of British classics in HP land and the new Avatar land has some interesting pan-asian/Hawaiian type offerings.

Considering you can bring your own food into the parks - they realized they need to keep up with culinary trends for people to keep spending money.

Food and Wine alone is a cash cow for Disney, hence why they now do the same thing for Flower and Garden (basically just a Spring Food and Wine) and even during the Holidays now.

I'm with you. I survived my first Magic Kingdom outing with our son this year to take in the Christmas decorations and it was survival mode. I didn't even try the food but I definitely tried the beer and wine. And whatever the price, I was buying!

My wife and I snuck away one night for a dinner on the resort grounds and really enjoyed it.

I had no idea you can bring food into the parks though. We brought food for my son since he's only 18 months but didn't know this extended beyond kids.

Most of the job of being a chef is learning about other cuisines and bringing the techniques and flavors back to create something in their home country. Our world is going to hell if we start chastising people for food appropriation.

people say cultural appropriation but what they really mean is appreciation.

I view the “cultural appropriation” complainers the same way I do the nationalist “make America great again” crowd. Their ethnicities may differ but they are both exhibiting forms of tribalism.

Do you truly think the human race will ever rise above tribalism?

I love when lefties talk about tribalism as if it's a "right wing" thing. They're so incredibly blind to their own tribalism and how it's a staple of being a leftie/Democrat in 2019.

LMAO!!! literally everyone in the US has except for the ingorant red hatter's.

Terrifying you have to ask this.
This is the exact opposite of true, Mr. live in a glass house. I can go down all the list of labeled special interest groups and they all engage in tribalism. LGBT, BLM, La Raza, the way progressives operate. There are more tribes in the American left than potentially any other grouping of people in the world. You are the epitome of a lack of self-awareness.

See posts like this are exactly why no one takes you seriously. The fact that I have to explain to you that these groups, who only exists to stop your buddies on the right from lynching their members, are not examples of tribalism. You obviously do not understand what that word means. God damn it so painful trying to debate with someone like you.

Police officers: murder black children.

BLM forms: hey guys stop murdering children.

Sk8: see, BLM are tribalists!!!

:joy::joy::joy::joy:

you can't make this s*** up. This is why I treat this board as a form of entertainment not actual debate.

La Raza exists to stop conservatives from lynching Mexicans? Ok?

Do you not see that your bigoted views of conservatives and libertarians show your own tribalism?

Line 1: Strawman. All the rest BS. Yeah, you’re a genius.

And speaking of the strawman, by your measure, the USAF has murdered more innocent civilians than our police forces. So you’re a damn murderer too.

You cannot be a liberal in 2019 without towing the line and calling everyone you disagree with a racist, making being white "problematic", and finding 200 different ways to make innocuous things offensive.

It's identity politics tribalism and the left has been pushing for it for decades now.

You don't even know what a strawman is! Holy shit this is incredible. There is absolutely no way my first line was a strawman, it is an absolute fact.

@sk8knight your life will be better if you put them on ignore

Has he sent you any vulgar, threatening private messages yet? He violated board rules about a month ago and sent me an unhinged, deranged and profanity laced private message to get around my Ignore. Absolutely incredible.

So this is of course, false. More lies from you, no wonder you love Trump.
