For the last few years (except for last year due to COVID), the not-for-profit I direct, Central Florida Dreamplex, has partnered with the football team to host a clinic for kids and young adults with special needs and physical disabilities. In the past they have sent a busload full of players to us over in Lake County; this year we came to them and were hosted in the fieldhouse. We had over 60 participants from ages 5-adult with varying disabilities who were buddied up with the football players and led through skill stations. Since we were on campus for this year, they also got to tour all of the football facilities. All of the players were incredible and the parents were very impressed by how patient, thoughtful, and helpful they were. This was a volunteer opportunity for them, no NIL involved. Some of the notable names were Barber, Thornton, Pauole, Jordan Davis, Ward, O'Keefe, Bullard, and MAR, but there were many more. I think Keene may have stopped in after the Bowser clinic ended, but if it was him he kept a low-profile. T-Will and his daughters came to help out too and as expected, he was amazing! Just wanted to share another example of the special players and overall program we have! There are pictures and a video on UCF football's facebook and twitter accounts if you'd like to check them out.
