that UCF fans are taking over tonight or tomorrow before the game? I've heard of some near main st and state st, but don't know any specifics.

Flight this morning had probably 70-80% Knight fans. It's going to be fun! Weather right now is perfect!

Nice! Fiesta bowl was less. I leave at 6:00. See you there! Go Knights!

My co-worker who went to Michigan just emailed me this:

Younger/Undergrad Crowd:
Rick’s American Café (Rick’s) – 611 Church Street. If you want to get crazy or see the social craziness this is where to go. This is where the hot undergrad girls go and the bar everyone talks about in association with the University. It does not really get going until 10:30/11, but by 9 or 9:30 the line is usually crazy (maybe even earlier some days). Other bars in the undergrad area that are right around the corner on South University Avenue are the Goodtime Charlies, The Brown Jug, ,etc.

Grad Student/Young Professional/People in town for the game crowd:
Connor O’Neill’s - 318 South Main Sreet. That is the best central spot and from there you can just bounce around or ask people. Tons of other bars on main street or just off it. I don’t know what’s hot now, but just look or ask around.

I like the Prickley Pear if you want to get a casual dinner. Good Southwestern/Mexican food. You may want to try to make a reservation – Also on main street right by Conner Oneil’s. There are also a ton of food place on Main or just off if you just walk around or ask someone.

Game Day
Ashley’s on State Street is small, but a good bar to go to before the game to maybe eat and have a beer and then you can walk around the campus area right here for a minute and walk up State Street toward the stadium/golf course. You will also walk by a couple fraternities which may be interesting/funny.

You can also just go straight to tailgating. The best/most centralized place to tailgate is on the golf course. I would just buy a 12 pack if it is just two of you and wander around. You may find some friendly Michigan people or some SFU fans to glom on to. They start in earnest about 3 hours before the game.

Post Game:
You can just go to Main Street or South University areas and find what’s up. They will have people. A couple other good other options. Dominick’s at 812 Monroe Street is a great spot. It is right in between the business school and Law School and if the weather is nice they have cool outdoor areas to hang out. Good afternoon spot – can be a little chill. I think it closes at 8. No Tvs’ though if you care about watching other games. Kinda in between the two areas I mention above, but closer to South University. If you want to watch some of the other games and get involved with the local townies to Fraser’s Pub (2045 Packard Street). It is a sports bar and on gamedays they usually have a big outdoor tent in the parking lot that shows all the games. You can even do Fraser’s and then Domonic’s.
