Anyone in here own a Remington 700?

Apparently there has been a problem with the trigger mechanism for a long time and the rifle can go off by simply turning the safety off. It seems to happen more often in cold weather. It's been an issue for a while but coming more to light with all the class action lawsuits.

And you may never have one. The issue is that it's a design problem and not a manufacturing defect which means that it affects every single one of these guns, yours being no exception. Are you going to have the triggers replaced? It's a voluntary recall.

I have one that was built in the early 70's . Had put a Timney trigger in it a long time ago . I think it's just the last 10 years or so but could be wrong

You should be good. It's with the original Walker trigger and the X-Mark Pro trigger. Neither of them are good. Remington was using he Walker trigger in the 70's.

I've heard of this problem, scary as shit. I like my Mossberg ATR Patrol. 16" threaded barrel for muh silencerz and it takes AR-10 mags.
