Got to surf in Satellite with my 9 year old son yesterday, his first hurricane swell. He's been slowly getting more comfortable in bigger stuff but yesterday something must have clicked because he showed total confidence out there and caught 4-5 waves that were well overhead on him, even got down the line on one. It was something I had been looking forward to since he was born, we rode our bikes down to the end of our street and got a good two hours of 5-6' surf with light offshores and a pretty light crowd.
Now on to the bad stuff....I'm doing an 8-mile swim in the Keys this weekend and need to let my body rest starting Wednesday so I will miss Thursday and Friday which look like the best days
