I finished it and it's utterly disappointing. I had such high hopes since they were doing a show about rock n roll during arguably one of the greatest eras of rock music, but instead of just focusing on music, the HBO morons allowed the usual suspects to turn the show into yet another lame story about mafia morons, cocaine addiction, and meaningless subplots that involve Andy Warhol.

It was such a bust that HBO already replaced Terrance Winter for next year.

Oh and Mick Jagger's son is LOL terrible at acting, singing, and comes across as a whiny schoolgirl instead of a supposed up and coming badass punk band.

I dvr'd the finale and will watch it this week. But you're right, it hasn't been as good as I wanted it to be, same with Billions. But I'm pot committed at this point and will finish it out.

It was good in the beginning, then lost me on some of these random & pointless drug and murder plots..
Also Billions is good, but somewhat losing me..
I'd prefer just a really good story-line and stick with it..

I liked first few seasons of Boardwalk Empire, and then that kinda tailed off..

Seems like I am writing some of these programs is the problem!! LOL'z.....

Honestly Hallelujah GoT is coming soon..
Some good shows..
***PS not spoiling it.. But in the HBO show Silicon Valley, My Cuz just signed to do some episodes..

I thought Billions actually finished a lot stronger than it started. Plus Paul Giamatti (sp) is always awesome.

HBO is getting pretty desperate to get a drama series to stick that isn't named GOT. They had it in True Detective, then wrecked it with the awful Season 2. The Leftovers is good but a bit too odd for a mainstream drama hit. Vinyl was supposed to be their newest drama smash hit and so far they're eating tons of money with low viewership. They better find something that sticks since GOT probably only has 2 more seasons left.

-I heard Vinyl was really good. I've got it on the DVR but haven't started watching.
-Same with Billions. I watched the first episode and will see the rest.

Just binged all of GoT in the past 2 weeks. Totally looking forward to this Sunday!!!

Reminds me of FX. They've had so many good series that I waste too much time on bad ones trying to like them.

Billions did get better but Axe's wife's storylines and the bondage thing are lame.

Yep. I wanted to like Tyrant but it sucked.

That said, The Strain is pretty good if you accept it for what it is (and isn't).

I'm convinced that HBO paid GRRM to not release the book before the show begins. The hype is cranked to level 10 right now considering this is the first ever season where people didn't have the books on hand prior. Plus they're finally getting into the meat of most storylines where people will start making moves and crossing paths. I just hope they get Danerys overseas ASAP so she can stop her storyline of wandering in far away lands.

yeah Showtime as a deeper bench. They used Dexter's success and turned it to a solid almost year round lineup with Homeland, Shameless, Ray Donovan, & now Billions

I had high hopes for Vinyl and I liked much of it. Of course the best parts are the plots that actually revolve around the rock industry, and not so much on all the relationships, but you have to build characters. I have some personal experience in the industry so much of it I find amusing. At some point the company needs to get over a hurdle or two. All this wallowing is getting old.

The last 3 seasons were bad. They just ran out of story and character development for him.
I still enjoyed every season, it was hard for them to ever match the shock/drama of Season 4. I agree the finale was real bad, it looked like a parody of the show
