Both the house and the presidency according to an internal Democrat poll. According to the poll, only 22% of Dems view her favorably and 69% disapprove of her brand of socialism. This wouldn't be that big of a deal, but with all of the media coverage on her she has become the defacto face of the democrat party, so essentially her messaging is setting the standard for what Democrats stand for. The democrat presidential candidates who try to distance themselves from her policies are shunned, leaving the party with a clear understanding of what their goals are, and the voters don't like them.

Expect more of the same. It will get worse before......

Well..., it won’t get better. When it comes down to crunch time, Trump will be all over this

Americans don’t like what she stands for
They don’t like Mexico first/illegal immigration, socialism, and Nazi/Holocaust references

The latter is actually disgusting

Luckily, California and New York don’t hold all the cards in 2020

Don’t you feel a little safer every time you hear of an ICE raid, meeting with Putin, Kim, etc.?

Not really. But I don't feel less safe like I did when we were intervening militarily all over the Asian continent and northern Africa or printing money with total disregard of what the future consequence might be.

I've said this many times and it has yet to sink in to some of the thicker skulls in here.

Only Republican slanted sites report heavily on her. If you read normal people news you won't find anything about her. If you read Unbiased America Facebook page (and are so embarassed to admit it that you disguise it as the Washington Post) you know every time she farts.

No dems see her as favorable because most have no idea of anything about her. Hope that helps.

She's disliked in here because yall read the Daily Nutjob and follow 25 Facebook pages that have the word "freedom" or "liberty" in the title.

She is recognized by over 70% of Democrats according to the democrat internal poll.

It's so hilarious to watch you far left twerps insist that she doesn't matter and we're just crazy for sharing news on her so often. She just started yet another national fight with the entire DNC leadership, Pelosi, and had her Chief of Staff engaged in a twitter war with the House Democrats official twitter page, and yet you're here saying "meh, she doesn't matter!". [roll]

Her and her Squad of far left extremists nearly sunk a hugely bipartisan border relief bill. Bernie Sanders just called her "the future of the Democratic Party".

The reality is that you know what a total dipshit this woman is and you're embarrassed that she's clearly a new Rockstar in the DNC, so you're trying to minimize her importance and insist that we're just obsessed with her or whatever.

This tired talking point won't work though.

I'd ask for a link but I guarantee you saw this on freedom memes Facebook account or some shit.
It's an axios report. I got a new phone a couple of weeks ago and for some reason I can't link stuff on it. Here's the overview:

Top Democrats are circulating a poll showing that one of the House's most progressive members — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — has become a definitional face for the party with a crucial group of swing voters.

Why it matters: These Democrats are sounding the alarm that swing voters know and dislike socialism, warning it could cost them the House and the presidency. The poll is making the rounds of some of the most influential Democrats in America.

  • "If all voters hear about is AOC, it could put the [House] majority at risk," said a top Democrat who is involved in 2020 congressional races. "he's getting all the news and defining everyone else’s races."

The poll — taken in May, before Speaker Pelosi's latest run-in with AOC and the three other liberal House freshmen known as "The Squad" — included 1,003 likely general-election voters who are white and have two years or less of college education.

    • These are the "white, non-college voters" who embraced Donald Trump in 2016 but are needed by Democrats in swing House districts.
    • The group that took the poll shared the results with Axios on the condition that it not be named, because the group has to work with all parts of the party.
The findings:

    • Ocasio-Cortez was recognized by 74% of voters in the poll; 22% had a favorable view.
    • Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota — another member of The Squad — was recognized by 53% of the voters; 9% (not a typo) had a favorable view.
Socialism was viewed favorably by 18% of the voters and unfavorably by 69%.

    • Capitalism was 56% favorable; 32% unfavorable.
    • "Socialism is toxic to these voters," said the top Democrat.
Between the lines: Dems are performing better with these voters than in 2016 (although still not as well as in 2018). So party leaders will continue to try to define themselves around more mainstream members.

The other side: Three members of The Squad — Omar, Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts — defended their approach while appearing in Philadelphia yesterday on a panel at the annual Netroots Nation conference, AP's Juana Summers reports:

    • "We never need to ask for permission or wait for an invitation to lead," Omar said, adding later that there's a "constant struggle oftentimes with people who have power about sharing that power."

Axios is a company started by people who formerly worked for Politico, a left leaning news agency.

This is literally a poll of just uneducated white people...

"The poll...included 1,003 likely general-election voters who are white and have two years or less of college education."

This is why you didn't link it I'm guessing. You're presenting this info like it is some how reflective of America as a whole. That's as bad as passing off a post from Unbiased America Facebook group as the Washington Post.

I didn't link it because I can't. That's why I copy and pasted it. But by all means, disregard white voters with less than 2 years of college and see how that works out. Even the democrat party sees them as an important demographic and that's why they polled them.

In the OP you said 22% of dems view her favorably. Is that statement accurate or were you lying?

Based on the poll, yes it is accurate. I suppose I could have added "polled" after "Democrats" to make it more fool-proof but it seems like you are just splitting hairs here.

The poll wasn't just a poll of democrats.

The poll is of uneducated white general election voters

22% of those polled view AOC as favorable

34% of the group polled typically vote dem.(uneducated whites. number not provided but taken from another poll)

74% knew who she was (no party info given on this. Could easily be people like you who read AOC updates daily on freedom memes Facebook group)

So basically this whole thread is you not being able to read and interpret polling numbers.

So again. Do only 22% of DEMS view AOC favorably?

An accurate statement would be: 22% of white uneducated voters view her favorably.

It looks like this is correct. The article I read made it sound like it was internal polling of democrat voters but it is polling done by Democrats of potential swing voters. My bad.

Props to Crazyhole for this post.

It's nice to see WC posters -- anywhere on the political spectrum here -- admit they got something wrong. Showing some class doesn't depend on a particular party affiliation--and neither does being a dickwad. :)
