Not just the NHL but the biggest collapse in sports history. Show me a team that sets the league win record and then gets swept in the first round.
This was my fear all along when everyone was praising them. They've gone into the Playoffs before and totally wimped out and choked in series and lost.
But never like this. Holy shit. How does this happen? Tied for most wins ever then potentially swept by an 8 seed? Talk about a bunch of soft players who have no idea how to step up to the intensity of the Playoffs.
And if this goes down the way it probably will, I've done with Cooper. I don't give a shit how many wins he racks up in the regular season, he routinely gets outcoached in the playoffs and this should seal his fate.

It’s not over yet, losing Stralman and Hedman has crippled the defense. With Kuch returning for game four and a nothing to lose attitude they could win game four. If they do they come home and at that point anything is possible.

the lightning played 1 period of playoff hockey. they scored 3 goals and that that was good enough to move to the next round. columbus punched them in the face in the 3rd period of that game and the lightning have been in a daze ever since. the lightning are going to get swept and its absolutely pathetic.
The officiating is very one sided, can’t remeber the last Columbus penalty but I’ve seen many of them.

This series was one sided. I don't know how to even explain getting swept, and dominated, by a team that barely even made the Playoffs. Losing the series would have been a huge disappointment but getting swept? Can't even process.
