Saw the telecast, glad to see the phrase “1 year rental” used in terms of Jefferson. Since we are not one player away from seriously competing, program trajectory would have been better served if we had brought in a multiple eligibility guy at that position, that had some experience. There were and are a few good fits that meet that description.

If it turns out that one of the young guys on the roster explodes into a star, in 2025, no harm no foul on the rental and we get more visibility nationally. What we don’t need to do is what Notre Dame is doing to their QB room…..running off their young guys by repeated use of 1 year rental QBs.

Interesting points. Next time I have the opportunity, I'd like to ask Gus a question along these lines. What's the right mix? Think we've seen with RB Jordan McDonald that he wanted playing time and didn't get that at UCF. Some talent in the QB room. How long are those guys patient? Thanks for watching. TT
