Article on Perriman by Detroit Lions beat writer

Well, the writer did say was, so I take that to mean that the disappointment went away at some time. What could be so disappointing about Perriman's experience at UCF, anyway? He got to be a part of two conference championships and a BCS bowl victory. I don't see how his experience at the so-called "U" would've been any better, considering how the Canes have performed of late.

I don't take that has a backhanded remark. His dad went to UMand he had an interest in going there. It's not like he said he regretted going to ucf.

I don't see it as a backhanded remark. Growing up he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and play at the U. There are plenty of kids that have a dream school but end up going elsewhere. I'm sure there are a lot of kids on every roster like that. That doesn't mean they don't love their school. Probably much more now.

Perriman made the right choice. UCF has contributed a lot to his success today. Especially with the TV exposure which UCF has had more than the U over the last 2 years. Oh.. and there was that little Hail Mary pass thing.

Perriman was a 2 star WR out of Georgia as he played in a smaller magnet hs program that wasn't very good.

He also broke his leg his Senior Year...so he gray shirted and enrolled at UCF in Jan 2012 instead of summer 2011.

UCF obviously did an amazing job scouting/discovering him...as his size and hands clearly stood out, even if he didn't get many opportunities at his HS team.

He could have went to UM as a legacy, flamed out and ended up at Coastal Carolina like another highly rated UM legacy
