Who needs to stand out for the Knights in 2025

It’s no secret to anyone, last season was a bit rough for UCF Football. Ending the season 4-8 and saying goodbye to several key players isn’t exactly the best foundation for recently re-hired head coach Scott Frost to build upon. However, there’s no doubt that the UCF locker room does have some talent, and with Frost hand picking his new coaching staff and freshman recruits, it seems that he might have a plan for how to rekindle some success for the Knights. As spring camp opens next week, here are three players to keep an eye:

If those are UCF’s three most important players…and if Rizk starts, you are looking at three wins MAX.

No O-Line to speak of but placing the importance on a 5’8” true freshman RB. OK.

Goof effort on the headline and the content idea but the content falls way short…overall D+.

Three most important “players”…yeah they will all be on offense. Why? Because this team with this coaching staff and this roster is going to lose a lot of games. A good offense will put fans on the stand and keep interest alive.

1. The starting QB. Nobody knows who that is and for UCF’s sake it better not be Rizk. Skip all the Milton fluff…he worked one year as an analyst and has zero experience being a QB coach at any level…even less at being a proven developer of QB’s.

2. Spring portal WR1. You would hope that UCF spends some money in the Spring to pick up a proven WR with a pulse…he will be badly needed by whomever gets the start at QB.

3. The OL as a whole. It will take a lot to get a patchwork group of journeymen to blend and play together with effectiveness…specially since none of the players have played a snap with his OL teammates.
