Put our class in perspective

You are rated on your top 20 recruits. Your ranking suffers if you don't sign 20 players. So even if we signed 3 more players ranked the same as the current lowest ranked commit (5.3) that would give us 1209 and the highest ranking of any other AAC team.

so from a quality standpoint I think we have done very well. I am hoping that there are a couple of prospects that we are holding out for.

The points system on rivals seems somewhat stupid. We have the same amount 3 stars plus a 4 star as Cincy and usf yet are ranked behind them. Our avg in stars is 2.82 far above anyone in conference.

They base it on 20 players. for each player you get points based upon their ranking (i.e. 5.3 or 5.5) then you get bonus points for having players ranked in the state or in their position. We only have 17 players so we only get points for 17 players. UC has 24 players so they get points for their top 20. That is why they are ranked higher. If we fill out the roster with players who have a ranking from Rivals then we would get credit for those. Even the lowest possible rankings available for those players would push us above both UC and USF. If they are unranked then you get no points.

Anyway the point is that we have pretty quality recruits at this point, so don't worry about rankings.

Rivals (and most other services), quantity (number of signees) is always a benefit...and usually why those without many scholarship offers (either from NCAA Sanctions like UCF or didn't lose many Seniors in year's previously).

Next year, when UCF will be back up to 25 recruits...odds are, they might end up being UCF's highest ranked class...even if the average rating is lower than this year's class (so far, highest average rating per recruit for any G5 program...higher than 16 P5 programs).

Assuming there are no major coaching changes (GOL), we continue to play well and are on national TV several times a year (ESPN), then we can expect to do about as well next year recruiting if not better.
