Auburn Fires Harsin 👀 🍿

Jeff Scott has been really impressive over there!

Take Fickell, but I'd doubt he'd leave. (I'd have a better chance of getting hired than Malzhan.)
Man I get Auburn is generally a decent SEC team to land but man Fickell should not be in a rush. He's gonna be a P5 coach soon whose fanbase and team adore him. And stay home in Ohio versus Alabama. I wouldn't blame him if he took an Ohio State job (alumni) if offered in the next 5-10 years but Auburn with that fanbase with super high expectations, nah. Not saying Ohio State is better but it's Ohio State not Auburn, you know exactly what you're getting yourself into with that.

Harsin was fired without cause before his contract expired. He’s now due 70 percent of the remaining value of his contract, which is roughly north of $15 million. The buyout decreased with every week that passes through the season.
Half of that buyout is due within 30 days of his termination.

Per CBS:

"Harsin entered the 2022 season on one of the hottest seats in the country despite spending only one year on The Plains. Following a 6-7 debut in 2021 that ended with five straight losses, school power brokers attempted a coup to oust Harsin from his position. Frustrations over roster and coaching staff turnover, as well as Harsin's failure to sign a single player on the traditional National Signing Day in February, kicked off a week-long saga during which powerful people associated with the Auburn athletic department reportedly sought to fire Harsin for cause..."

God I would hate to coach at Auburn.

They should go after James Franklin he's 1 n 9 against top 5 teams. Or maybe Urban Myers who fits the mold with his side show outside of football.
