As part of his annual pre-tournament news conference Wednesday at Augusta National, Ridley said "the right to vote is fundamental in our democratic society. No one should be disadvantaged in exercising that right, and it is critical that all citizens have confidence in the electoral process. This is fundamental to who we are as a people.

Right on Brutha! All the retardplicans have left is to try to force through laws that limit and suppress the voters.

I don't know about you, but I believe EVERYONE in America should be able to vote as easily as possible?

Why is it that Republicans want less people to vote?
Why is it that Republicans want less black people to vote?
Why do Republicans hate freedom?
I want all American citizens to vote. I'm a registered Republican and I want all blacks to vote. I love freedom.

What could possibly be the reason??

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In Gallup polling throughout the first quarter of 2021, an average of 49% of U.S. adults identified with the Democratic Party or said they are independents who lean toward the Democratic Party. That compares with 40% who identified as Republicans or Republican leaners. The nine-percentage-point Democratic advantage is the largest Gallup has measured since the fourth quarter of 2012. In recent years, Democratic advantages have typically been between four and six percentage points.

When, on average, about 60-65% of eligible voters vote, you'd THINK the big push in States would be to get MORE non-voters to start voting rather than restrict the ones who already are.

But we're all supposed to believe it's all about preventing massive voter fraud when you could win most elections with all the folks who AREN'T voting.

Just to be clear, what you are saying is that black people are too stupid to get an ID and too lazy to actually go to the polling place to cast their ballot.

Just to be clear, what you are saying is that Georgia Republicans decided to restrict voting immediately after losing in November and January's run-off.

Yep. They want to restrict voting to people who are smart enough to, and not so lazy that they shouldn't vote. I agree 100% with that policy.

Yeah, let's restrict VOTING, but God Forbid we restrict gun-ownership for people who aren't very smart or mature when it comes to using them responsibly, right? ;) :)
Let's do the opposite. Show up to a polling place with a gun as proof that you are a citizen and you automatically get a ballot. I think that's a fantastic trade-off.

See? Republicans can come up with their own "get out the vote" campaigns too if they try hard enough. :)

Amazing how allowing people to vote goes along party lines.

Weird how one party wants people to jump through more hoops just to vote.

Agreed. It's amazing that almost all democrats are against a voting bill that makes it easier to vote.

I wish his response was, “These are grown men hitting a tiny ball with stick, until they get it in a hole, for a few days. Most people do this drunk. Why do you care about their opinions on voting?”

For real, if going online to get a free ID to vote is too restrictive for the electorate, maybe this form of selecting our leaders is a bad idea. I mean, it wasn’t hard in 2016 and we got Trump. It was even easier in 2020 and we got Biden. What’s the end goal in making it even easier? Electing an ice cream cake with Rod Stewart hair? A cat with uneven nipples?
