Autoplay internet ads

No, that's just the only scenario I could think of that would warrant using the f bomb to describe them.

Actually, what's even worse, IMO, is that a lot of the stuff on sites like CNN is set to autoplay. I finally installed the Chrome extension FlashControl to prevent autoplay.

I did the same damn thing.

What's worse yet is reading headlines and thinking "Oh, that sounds interesting, I'll read that." then it be a video. UGH.
 
Yep - flash essentially doesn't work on Ubuntu linux. I had to manually override each vid, and only then sometimes would it work. You also need to update your flash client if you haven't already, as there was a day zero flash exploit two days ago that allows for nasty remote execution. I've been 'victimized' in remote execution attack, and it's not a fun feeling to see somebody else driving your keyboard.
 
Everybody want to have the internet, don't nobody want to pay for the internet.
