Glad they mixed up the starting line-up to help others get more mins...McSpadden played with more offensive confidence than game 1 (0-5 in first game off the bench, 5-10 from the field, 3-4 from FT in Game 2 as a starter) but he obviously has to work on protecting the ball, making better entry passes (had 7 turnovers), but thats what these August games are for.

Maybe most impressive stat from the first 2 games (even without BJ), UCF is shooting a respectable 74% from the FT (42-59).

Shaheed's been the best to get to the FT line and then did a good job converting by shooting 13-16 (81%).

Hopefully with more inside/attacking game from Shaheed, Blair, McBride, Tacko, AJ and then guards driving (UCF had 28 pts in the lane as McBride was 5-6) , it will lead to more FT attempts, more time in the bonus, which should lead to more pts. (This might be an area where losing Goodwin will help as he shot just 60% from the FT line during his first 2 years, as he shot more FT attempts last season than any other player and that hurt UCF multiple times as he had trouble converting).

Good news is we are much more athletic this year with the fresh McSpadden and Chad Brown and losing slow Kasey Wilson. Defense looks terrible again.

McSpadden provides height at back-up point (something UCF hasn't had since maybe when Sykes would take over games on occasion), and yes, Brown but also AJ Davis and hopefully Shaheed (and obviously Tacko) will provide length as well.

Bummer that BJ isn't playing (or Tacko) as the team will look/run differently when BJ is back in charge but good opportunity for more mins for McSpadden and even Walker too.

I think the key words you mentioned are INSIDE ATTACKING. If we would just get aggressive and teach the guys LOW POST PLAY...then we could get out of KIRK mode and win! :)
