Now that we have had two exciting Wild Card games, the real playoffs begin. The clear 4 best teams in each league are in and all the matchups are interesting. As a Yankee fan, I’m obviously more excited about their series than the others but they are all great.

Interesting rotation decisions already made with Francona starting Bauer in game 1 and saving Kluber for game 2. I can see pros and cons either way. The Astros are going with Verlander today instead of Keuchel but Verlander has been nasty ever since joining the team.

In the National League you have the Dodgers and Nationals with a lot of pressure on them to finally win. The Dodgers haven’t won the World Series in almost 30 years and have been in the playoffs every year of late. The Nationals have not won a round in the playoffs ever. The Cubs trying to defend their title and the Diamondbacks playing the role of Cinderella.

There are going to be a lot of late nights watching all the drama. Anybody else as excited as I am? What series are you most looking forward to? Any predictions?

The MLB execs are happy considering you have LA, Chicago, Boston, and NY all in the Playoffs together. Plus tons of young talent pretty much everywhere.

I think it'll wind up LAD vs Cleveland for the WS. I'm kind of pulling for the Dodgers since it's been so long since LA has won.

Not nearly as long as Cleveland.

Yanks fan.... last night was painful. We made Francona look like a genius for starting Bauer (he is regardless). In the position now where we HAVE to beat Kluber once + games 2 and 3. Tall order considering the last couple of times we faced Kluber - dude might strike out 15 tonight.

You’re done dude. Cleveland is switched on and they are easily the most complete team in the AL.

I agree that Cleveland is the best team and they are playing great. They have their ace on the mound today and look to take total control of the series. But, even if they win again today, the series is not over. These things can change on a dime. I’ve seen a lot of crazy things happen in the postseason before.

I cannot believe Girardi didn't challenge. His excuse was just as bad, he said they didn't get the slomo replay in time and he didn't want to ruin Greens rhythm. It gets you out of the inning!! Would've been 8-3 heading into the 8th, game over. Even if your replay shows it did hit him you challenge that one anyway!!

Which was more painful for you now: game 1 or 2?

And the Astros have something to say about Cleveland being “easily the most complete team in the AL.”

Joe Girardi is a good manager but he made the bonehead judgement call of the year last night.

Astros look good as predicted

And Washington remains the best regular season team to always totally suck in the playoffs

Game 2 hands down. Game 1 we didn't adjust and Bauer made us pay. Coming into game 2 it's essentially a loss before it started. When we knocked Kluber around and get an 8-3 lead I'm thinking about how we have a chance in the series now. If kluber throws 8 shutout I'm not happy but I expected that.

Yankees have not played Houston well recently but if we can win 3 straight against Cleveland, including game 5 vs Kluber in a Cleveland, then it's definitely possible.

It’s baseball. Anything is possible. I’m pumped up for this weekend. Yankees tonight, Yankees tomorrow at 4, UCF at 7. Sunday recover because I don’t have to waste any more time on the Giants.

Bats came alive out of nowhere. Judge makes the horrible baserunning play that ends up comical but I think he made up for it. [banana]

He's been taking some really good swings the last two games. Sanchez stayed on a ball and drove it into the gap.... if those two heat up anything can happen.

Great game last night in game two of the World Series!

Just got an alert: Joe Girardi not returning as the yanks’ manager.

I had a feeling that was it for joe. He was pretty emotional after the Yankees thankfully blew it against Houston.

That was awesomeness, btw, to watch Houston kick their dicks in.

that was a crazy game. Love warm weather world series games!

I will tell you what I didn't love last night was the painfully awkward Vin Scully circus for the first pitch. Holy shit, could they have taken any longer or brought out any other stiffs from the past? I would have played the game under protest were I the Astros.

I love Vin Scully and remember watching him broadcast Dodger games back in the day on the big dish late night . Stop being such a hater *

I love him too. But jeez, it would have been less awkward if they had Harvey Weinstein throw out the first pitch.

That was the most exciting game in any sport in a long time. Absolutely insane. Every HR or big RBI led to guys jumping around like they were back in little league. The stadium was electric.

This World Series has been absolutely awesome and the ratings are huge because of it.
