If he's so concerned about illegal immigrants, why doesn't he try to go be elected in Mexico instead?

Trump is the only president who cares 100% about American first and very little about any other country. I don’t care if he wants to look good in the process and has a huge ego. That doesn’t phase me in the least. This isn’t a football team. He doesn’t have to be a team player in Washington. Nor does he have to kiss the asses of other countries unless it will benefit America. Results matter more than anything else.

Therefore, he needs to sincerely stress “America First” once again for his 2020 campaign.

Bold strategy Cotton. He's literally pandering to people who can't vote. Lets see how this plays out.

TBH. Sanders would be about 83 at the end of the next presidential term and Trump is only 5 years behind him. Biden is 1 year younger than Sanders.

One has to consider this due to the average male’s life expectancy in the U.S. and possible loss of cognitive function that comes with age.

We may lose a president one day in office based on statistics alone. Additionally, it’s not exactly a stress free job

Prior to Trump, the oldest sworn in president was Reagan at 69.

Bernie is insane. Biden won’t even win the nomination (not sure who will, I just don’t think it will be him). Bidn also came out and said he’d get rid of the tax cuts on day one because it only helped the top 1/10th of 1%.... once again, I get more money in every check and got a larger tax return.

I’m either much more wealthy than I thought or some of these democrats are lying to me.

That’s exactly what Trump is doing. It’s no coincidence that days after announcing his re-election bid, he’s talking about mass deportation of families. It’s the same reason no effort has been put into resolving DACA over the past two years—it’s better to keep it as a campaign issue.

He was able to manipulate enough Joe Sixpacks to win with it last time. So why not roll the dice and try it again? He’s got the same posters here, that’s for sure.

Just win baby. Lots of winning. Whatever works, because he’s not going to have the Russians to help him this time around [winking]

If only he had been in a position to pass comprehensive immigration reform before. As president he would be though:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Imagine if he had been in said position AND in the party that controlled Executive and both Houses at the same time (all 3 branches of government...aoc). He would have gotten it done for sure. If only.

I know that the Trump Administration came down super-hard on Putin and Russia, but don't be so pessimistic. They might be willing to risk it again. :)

Are you sure about that? Democratic party is a tent of a right to left spectrum of ideas. That means a Joe Manchin could very well be an enemy of Sanders as much as he was a friend to Trump.

"America First." Screw all other human beings.
america first doesnt mean screw everyone else. it just means keep our interests first, the other countries second.

which country gives the most in aid to other countries? is there even a close second? that doesnt sound like screw all other human beings to me.

Can you have a larger percentage of your income tax money go towards other countries problems, so I can have lower taxes?

I’ll be your best friend [cheers]

...and this is the real crux. You guys don't even believe in America First if it means actually attempting to help human beings out of poverty. Profits and lower taxes mean more. Praise Jesus.

People worldwide have been best lifted out of poverty by capitalism and free markets. This isn't even debatable. And only a true simpleton absolute dolt would think that companies making more profit somehow make poor people poorer.

PS- feel free to get off your lazy ass and do something to actually help poor people sometime instead of crying about Republicans and waiting for the government to magically solve everything you "care" so much about.

You're missing the part where "America First" doesn't refer to helping out some perpetual shithole country down south.

Don’t we have any poverty in America? I’m all for paying taxes towards that. As long as people aren’t sitting on their asses

why cant our most of our efforts be focused to the poverty and humans here in the us? also you didnt answer my question before; which country donates the most aid to other countries? who is the second country? how big is the gap from the 1st country to the second country?

I should get off my ass and give my money to pederasts, right?

How are you able to just sit and pretend that colonization, slavery, indentured servitude, and just all-around exploitation, doesn't exist around the world, and there are absolutely no consequences from the thousands of years this has gone on in the past?

Your analysis is wrong, and based in your own little dream world. If you don't believe me, just do a little research where your coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar, produce, rubber, textiles, metal, oil... comes from, and then tell us all how those people are "lifted out of poverty by capitalism and free markets."

No you aren't. Don't lie.
If they aren’t sitting on their asses I am

That means people who Legitimately CANNOT work. Disabled veterans? I would gladly give my tax money to help them

An estimated 46 Million adults and children worldwide are working for slave wages to provide our coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar, produce, oils, textiles, metals, gold, cotton, coal, tobacco, etc.

Tell us again how people are "lifted out of poverty by capitalism and free markets."

Why don't you do your own search and read study after study that chronicle how capitalism has lifted people out of poverty? Is this really you stance? That capitalism has not lifted any populace out of poverty or done it better than any other economic system in the world?

If that's what you think then GTFO of this conversation. You forfeit your right to speak on the issue again.

I've never once said that. You're arguing with yourself, again. And, it is a preposterous argument you're having with yourself, considering the act of bartering has been done since prehistoric times.

Now that we've finished your idiotic diversion, we can discuss over 46 Million people working for slave wages and how you still ignore that slavery, servitude, and exploitation, are an essential part of the current global capitalist model. ...all while claiming to be a good little Christian boy who cares about poor people.

Well then you should stop using / consuming these products to show how much you truly care .

lol the fact that you must interject some barb about my religion that you think is so witty and edgy in every discussion tells me how insecure and desperately unsatisfied with your own life you are. Maybe it's your failures in life or your own personal afflictions that have left you with so much hate but man, you should get that looked at.

That is nearly impossible, of course. This only perpetuates the issue that 85 (and many others like him) continues to ignore, and demonstrates a major failure in modern global capitalism that requires addressing.
Step 1: recognize there is an issue
Step 2: take small steps to possibly help resolve the issue
Step 3: take larger steps to help resolve the issue

85 can't even manage to get to Step 1, because he falsely believes that people will be "best lifted out of poverty by capitalism and free markets."

OLE!!!
Great work, El Matador.

Should I ignore the fact that you prance around here claiming you're such a good Christian, and give your money to pederasts, while you can't even bother to acknowledge that 46 million people are left in slavery while you claim "America First"?
In a thread where you try to claim I'm a hypocrite, this is especially rich.

how many people were living in absolute poverty just 50 years ago? how about 100 years ago?

seems like despite the population rise, that number seems to be going down. damn that capitalism!!!1111!

Ok- people work in slavery conditions, namely in China who practices a bastardized form of Communist State sponsored "capitalism". What's your goddamn point? What do you want done about that? I've gone on record on this very board multiple time saying we should stop trading with the country all together. Have you? Nope.

What does America First have to do with these workers? Does focusing less on our internal needs first and foremost somehow make it more likely these countries suddenly start treating others right?

Your posts here are incoherent and idiotic.

A calculated 100 million people have been killed by socialism/communism.

Tell us again how Venezuelans who are eating their family pets and don't have toilet paper are all enjoying their equality!

@chemmie care to come explain what your point was with this worthless string of posts in this thread? I answered and you fled.

It is pretty easy to follow, Copernicus, and stems from the "America First, screw the rest of the world" garbage at the beginning of the thread, and your statement about capitalism and free markets being the most wonderful thing ever for poor people. It takes a special kind of ignorance to say and believe these things while there are 46 million individuals working for slave wages to prop up most of the major industries in the world.

This is once again a dumbass post and totally incoherent. Capitalism absolutely has lifted millions of people out of poverty, mostly in countries that were run by communists and socialists. In countries were true reform at the governmental level allowed for this.

Just because there are still communist shitholes like China that run people's lives for them and mandate near slave labor conditions doesn't mean capitalism failed those workers. Communists failed those workers.

And again, how the hell does taking an America First approach make it less likely that these people achieve better working conditions? Aside from invading China and reshaping the entire form of government, what are you actually advocating that's going to do a damn thing about the working conditions there?

You keep bringing up China as if they are the only place where this happens. News flash, Copernicus. It happens right here in America and all over the world in non-communist states.

There's slave labor in America? People being forced into jobs and being paid nothing? Where?
