Best internet comments sections

I covered the cess pool of internet comments sections a few weeks ago, Youtube and ESPN. But what are the comments sections that are actually worth reading?

The only ones I can think of are for AV Club and Grantland's Hollywood Prospectus ( which has oddly been disabled in the last few months).

Are they any others?

CNN was a cesspool too. It got so bad that they disabled all of their comment sections.

IMO some of the best are your more established newspapers- NY Times, Washington Post, etc. Most of the time I don't agree with the people making the posts but at least some intelligent points are made.

I love the comments on Deadspin. Mostly they are just snarky and usually very funny. Not too much rhetoric or hate speech.

yea they are normally pretty damn funny.

The classic period for Deadspin comments was like 2010-2012. They were moderated back then and they would only take the funniest stuff. The comments were better than the articles in most cases. Now since its pretty much wide open, its gone downhill. The comments about soccer are unreadable.

Sure there are a lot of dorks just crapping on every movie, but the comebacks at them are funny. One article was about a reboot of Ben Hur. One comment simply said, "Another one? Sorry but Ben Hur, done that."
