On a side note, why is it that any fart in the shower smells 500% worse? Does water accentuate the smells?

There was an ask reddit about this before or an ELI5, it has something to do with moisture in the air keeping the molecules that cause the smell longer. Like the sulfur or methane, what have you, lingers longer due to moisture.
